DDT: 5-Star Wide Out Evan Stewart Names His Top 8, Includes Georgia

6’1″ 175, leaves defenders standing still when breaking at the top of his routes, and possesses 4.3 speed. No, I’m not talking about the 2020 Heisman Trophy Winner DeVonta Smith from Alabama. Although, that would be a great player comp for Evan Stewart out of Frisco, Texas. Stewart, a standout for Liberty High School in Frisco, is a slender, smooth nightmare for opposing defenses, much like DeVonta Smith. Stewart is rated as a 5-Star wide receiver, and the notoriety and accolades are earned.

Once a commitment to the Texas Longhorns in the class of 2022, Evan Stewart has decided on a final 8 schools he’ll be doing his due diligence within the remainder of his recruitment. The native Texan committed to Texas on February 18th of this year and quickly decommitted on March 11th. However, the Longhorns are still in the picture and are included in Stewart’s Top 8 and Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida, USC, Alabama, LSU, and Oregon. Out of those 8, only Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, and Florida are scheduled to get an official visit from the electrifying wideout.

Georgia will bring in at least 3, more likely 4, receivers in the class of 2022. Evan Stewart, Kojo Antwi, and Denylon Morrissette are all three at the top of the Georgia Bulldogs list. Also, Stewart, Antwi, and Morrissette will make their own trips to Athens in June for official visits. At this point, I’d say that Georgia is in the top 2 for each of these tremendous receiving targets. The official visits, an element of recruiting that the Georgia coaches and support staff excel at historically, will be paramount. Brand new facilities, 4 games of high octane offensive film with JT Daniels at the helm, and what Georgia hopes to be explosive offensive film to display from G-Day could be enough to sway Stewart and maybe 1 of the other 2 to commit to the ‘G.’
