Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Pitt was like UGA in losing their star RB to injury, minus a Sony Michel as a backup.    Arkansas’ offense improved by 1,000 yards his second year there so average was a huge improvement.

When I saw this kid, Connor Robbins, this morning, I said holy moly the is one one dude. He is from St. Augustine – 6-8/328. I followed him around in drills for a few minutes and can see why his best offer is Cincinnati. I am probably in shape as well as he.  He was completely gassed doing the drills, lead legs, bending forward a the waist, done. Too bad.

Pat called Jim Chaney brilliant. We shall see, I hope he is. But the last two years the Pitt & hawgs offense were just average. If you remember kirby’s first choice was Dan Enos..the current Arkansas OC

Read about SILENT COMMITMENTS today and hate to even hear this word “Silent”.    What ever happened to people having Guts, Pride and Loyalty instead of being cowards to admit they “Like or don’t want” to play for UGA?        We the fans have to sometime take a stand and have enough Guts to stand for Honesty from our young players, playing in our HS system, forget that Pride in our state is on the line.        Players today, IMO, are thinking only of themselves and seeing how much attention they can get for being a really talented player, who God has blessed with giving them that talent.    Instead of being Loyal to their school, community, the State of Georgia, they seek special attention for only one person, themselves.

I honestly don’t give a crap if they’re against UGA, that’s their right.     What gets me is, IMO, they grow up a fans of a certain college football program, want to play for that college, than become only loyal to themselves and the limelight.      They should have at least enough guts to be honest to themselves.    Do I WANT to play for any particular college football team and if so.       If they like UGA Commit to the G.   If they like All-Burn, go for it or any other team of choice, but be honest and go for the College Team you WANT to play for and live with your choice.      Georgia has probably some of  the best football talent in America.    With 159 Counties in Georgia and at least 1 player coming out of each of these county HC Programs, there should be plenty of talent to make “UGA Football Great Again”.         Man up, Commit to the G or be honest enough to tell CKS straight out, I do or don’t want to play for UGA and stop hiding behind a Top 10 List and Silent Commits.

Slots will be filled up by great players by the NSD each year, for that particular Class of 2017, 2018 and so on.    If you want to be part of a particular team, go for it.      Why make CKS Coaches go out and beg for players to join this great team.       Become a Team Members of other great HS players and form a bond to show America that Georgia is #1 in producing great talent.      Team Mates, from throughout the Georgia HS system know each other and should strive to play with them at the college level.       Be a Team Player and if your Team is Great, championships become reality and those teams provide the NFL with great talent.    I would hope, some others that make comments about out great UGA team would stop telling kids to have fun in their recruitment period, take all the OV’s you can get and instead, encourage them to COMMIT TO THE G, help recruit other great players and stop only thinking about themselves and the famous words: me, me, me.      Think positive about yourself and your fellow players.      Together, your team will be great.   GO DAWGS

Reddawg13  Hard to say – I think he will if he is comfortable with his assignments. They are pushing him as a leader. Yesterday, they had him speak to the campers on being successful. He was clearly nervous but did a good job. I’m sure it was his first time appearing before a group.

The final day of the first CKS camp will be a practice in Sanford – a big thrill for the kids. I going to see if they do any 7v7 type stuff and maybe get some action photos of a few of the recruits attending.

deltonadawg  Yep. Even today players show up at practice in a differently numbered jersey occasionally.  It is an interesting photo, though.
