TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECT: Nakobe Dean

Nakobe Dean is a five-star inside linebacker from Horn Lake High School in Horn Lake Mississippi. He’s 6-0 215 pounds and runs a 4.64 40-yard dash. Dean ranks as the No. 1 ILB, the No. 1 prospect in Mississippi and No. 24 overall. He holds 21 offers, with the latest coming from Stanford on February 28. Dean recently visited Georgia on March third and shortly after released his top-15 on March seventh. Georgia made the list, but Dean made sure to let me know that none of the schools were in the lead for him.
I spoke with Dean about his recruitment and his recent visit to Georgia.
Nakobe Dean Interview:
Q: How is the overall recruiting process going for you?
A: “It has been going well. Been getting a little hectic but nothing too bad to handle.”
Q: Schools in the running where you’ll take your official visits?
A: “Idk just yet.”
Q: What do you think of Georgia?
A: “Georgia is great. I loved when i was there.”
Q: How hard are they recruiting you? And what are some things they are telling you?
A: “They are recruiting me pretty hard and they tell me how good a fit they are for me.”
Q: What are the key factors that will go into your decision?
A: “My keys factors are a school that will prepare me for after football as well as for Football and one that feels like home.”
Q: Talk to me about the Georgia visit. What did you like? What do you think of Kirby smart and the staff?
A: “I loved nearly every aspect of the university and their football program and i thought highly of coach smart and his staff.”
Q: I know you released your top 15 or so schools the other day, but do you have like a top 3? or maybe potential leader?
A: “There are no leaders. They re all the same until I make my final decision.”
Q: When will that be?
A: “Most likely after my senior season.”
Q: Do you know if you’ll enroll early or will you wait for regular admission?
A: “Yes, I plan to enroll early.”
Q: Are any of the current UGA 2019 commits talking to you? Or are you close to any of them? Are they trying to sell Georgia to ya?
A: ” Lol, not really. I have spoken to Nolan Smith but that’s it.”
