Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Bansai buckeroo All is good, home from early church, just finished lunch and now plenty of time for a nap.

The Griffin kid looked real good in his vid I saw yesterday, as young as he is I expect him to weigh at least 305 by time he hits Athen.

I’m doing alright, yup I think put Madden in on goal line situations. He is bigger than a fire truck.

Video said N. Gwinnett, Sawanee ga…..it really doesn’t matter but this is someone we might want to follow… 🙂

Cobb or N. Gwinnett?… Anyway what in the heck are they feeding these kids today. He appears to be very athletic.

Bulldawg36 Doing good and you? BTW, I want to see Madden get PT at Guard as well. A guy that size needs to be given an opportunity to open some holes.

Will Pat Allen, Sam Maddan, Sage Hardin play this year for the Dawgs? Or is it still to early in their development?

  7. Bulldawg36

Durn. Lawerence just looks very thin. But like you say- he does have a good amount of time to bulk up

Bulldawg36  Remember that Lawrence is a rising junior – Eason was at about the same weight when he was that age.

Didn’t know curry was a two star. Pittman is the lineman whisperer. Already got one for 2019!

In his opening remarks to campers a couple of days ago Kirby Smart took time to recognize the offensive linemen >> “No game has ever been won without  offensive linemen.”

He also noted that “Steph Curry was a 2-star recruit but he outworks them all.”

Greg Poole Maybe coming down to a Clemson-UGA battle; with Tennessee, Florida and Oklahoma still a possibility. It’s got to be really difficult for QBs to decide where to go to college. All these 5* QBs want to play early. Certainly they want to be the starter in their second year of college. Wish Kirby could come up with a legit two QB system that would be acceptable to the QBs and would be interchangeable with the OL, RBs and receivers. Eason is likely gone after 2018. Fromm would be in year three in 2019 and Lawrence would be in year two, setting up a QB battle between he and Fromm in 2019. If Fromm were to some how over take Eason in 2018, nothing really changes for Lawrence as he would still have to beat out Fromm. If Fromm turns out to be good enough to start in 2018, he’s probably gone after 2019, clearing the way for Lawrence to start in 2020 and 2021. Best likely case for Lawrence at UGA is he’s the starter in 2019…worse likely case is he’s the starter in 2020. My guess is he’s working out all these scenarios with every team he’s considering. No 5* QB is going to be happy being the backup to another 5* QB for more than two years.

Good Morning Folks… Question…. Did Griffin have any offers other than Georgia?

Greg Poole He can flat fly and has great hands too. We need to find out who that number 6 is on the first highlight that almost caught him. And check out the O line where he plays, a lot of size there!
