The good news about the Clay dismissal is that it opens up another spot for this ridiculous class of DBs that are being recruited in the 17 class.

  2. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg RumRunnerDoogie godawgs678 sadly i agree. hope for the best for clay tho

  3. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie BahitsDawg godawgs678 I hope so.  It is probably a good thing to remove the bad apple before some others get hurt.

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg RumRunnerDoogie godawgs678 hopefully its a wake up call to Rochester

  5. RayRayDawg

MMCSDAWG RayRayDawg AlphaDawg i coach for adairsville high school. our home course is barnsley gardens resort. we get to play there every day free. I’ve played for 35 years though. jim klegg at pga tour superstore in kennesaw. he’s one of the best in georgia.

  6. WalktheDawg Whisky

He signed with Garden City CC out of HS.. but I don’t know if he ever showed up.

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

WalktheDawg Whisky cant find anything about him signing anywhere which is odd

  8. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie WalktheDawg Whisky do they teach gang life 101 at Peachtree Ridge or what

  9. Hobnailboot aka RobG

BahitsDawg Hobnailboot aka RobG WalktheDawg Whisky typical AU, have to take other teams cast offs now stealing other fans ID’s

  10. BahitsDawg

WalktheDawg Whisky  DawgDaddy hummm, maybe, Gus can use this logic to argue for another year.  He can tell the AU board he is bringing in Clay as the QB and guarantee a national title.

  11. WalktheDawg Whisky

DawgDaddy Sp Cam copped a Computer in Gainesville big deal… another students paper in Gainesville big deal…His Dad turns down $180K to go to Statesville to play for the coach that recruited him to UF big deal….
He gets a statute in Auburn….

  12. BahitsDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG WalktheDawg Whisky  BahitsDawg What is that clubs name that is in the middle of the West side trailer park and held in the double wide?  I heard it has two poles and one is also used to hold the roof up.

  13. Hobnailboot aka RobG

BahitsDawg Hobnailboot aka RobG DawgLink there is a whole village of ya’ll huh

  14. WalktheDawg Whisky

Hobnailboot aka RobG Don’t know about that …looked like the HeadCoach’s care was designed to carry one or two during that mid-life crises.

  15. WalktheDawg Whisky

Anybody know what happened to Nick Glass another P’tree Ridge HS alumni (Via St Pius)?

  16. BahitsDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG BahitsDawg DawgLink That was probably one of the other Bahits.

  17. WalktheDawg Whisky

BahitsDawg WalktheDawg Whisky So does the Auburn offer arrive via FEDEX or Cheetah3Dancer?

  18. Hobnailboot aka RobG

godawgs678 I remember you saying he had questionable character several months ago

  19. godawgs678

I’ve said it a couple times before about Clay. I know two people who were very close to Clay at Peachtree Ridge. Both said he was bad news when he committed. I don’t have any ill will towards this young man, but from what I was told about his reputation in High School and now this, I really hope he gets his life together. He has the talent to be a starter in the SEC and I hope he can figure out a way to put it all together.

  20. Hobnailboot aka RobG

BahitsDawg Hobnailboot aka RobG DawgLink actually you posted a pic of an article title saying as much….yesterday I believe

  21. BahitsDawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG BahitsDawg DawgLink When did I say that?

    (grinning wickedly)

  22. Hobnailboot aka RobG

BahitsDawg Hobnailboot aka RobG DawgLink dark sense of humor is a sign you’ll develop dementia

  23. BahitsDawg

nolabigdawg Hobnailboot aka RobG My middle son tried pushing my gut in today.  I got a little perturbed, before shrugging it off.  He means well.

  24. BahitsDawg

nolabigdawg I tried them 2 days ago.  I am undecided.

Maybe, they should include a picante dipping sauce.

  25. WalktheDawg Whisky

For you AJC fans… please consider…Why the hell does an article
written on Willie Clay’s son within what an hour of his booking HAVE to
include a running count of arrests during the Smart tenure…A reference
to a prior dismissee…and just for kicks..when did Peachtree Ridge HS
    move to Marietta….
“coming out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Marietta”The Urinal and Constipation is NOT your friend if you are a UGA fan….

  26. dsw61

Lucas Rogers Yep. Booked at 6:04 pm. Official charge is “Theft By Taking”. It’s a misdemeanor. Two arrest as a freshman and the season hasn’t even begun yet.

  27. Lucas Rogers

Dang he was booked at 6 p.m. today. Didn’t take long for Kirby to come up with that decision

  28. Hobnailboot aka RobG

DawgLink dark sense of humor….Bahits says that a precursor to dementia

  29. Lucas Rogers

WalktheDawg Whisky  dawgmum Lucas Rogers That’s what I was thinking. If it was that, Rochester would be included with him I’d say

  30. WalktheDawg Whisky

dawgmum Lucas Rogers There was a report last week that the charges were being reduced and they were in a diversionary program…Should not be related to that incident.

  31. Lucas Rogers

dawgmum Lucas Rogers crazydawg87 Definitely feel bad for him. It would have been a couple or few years before he would contribute, so not too much loss for the team. But feel bad for him

  32. Lucas Rogers

crazydawg87 Lucas Rogers hasn’t been said if it’s just from BB gun incident or what

  33. PatriotVeteran

Lucas Rogers DawgLink I hope they give Big Ben a fair chance to start and protect his best friend Eason.      they committed together and are cose and both are very talented and devoted players.   GO DAWGS

  34. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Greg Poole Hobnailboot aka RobG yeah you have to be able to flip an anger switch on when you hit the field, especially on D

  35. Greg Poole

Hobnailboot aka RobG >> Me too. He is a really nice kid….and that may be a problem for him. Maybe, this staff can get the light to come on.

  36. Greg Poole

Basketball recruiting is a dirty business:
On April 21 the NCAA ruled it wouldn’t accept courses from API, confirming suspicions that the school was neither advanced nor preparatory. API is appealing the NCAA’s ruling, but reports emerged in early June that API’s best senior, 6′ 7″ guard Terrance Ferguson, is considering playing pro hoops overseas next season instead of attending Arizona. While he hasn’t commented publicly, his uncertain academic record looms over the decision. “I hope this is a cautionary tale,” says Fran Fraschilla, an ESPN analyst who tweeted that Ferguson could end up in Australia. “For him to potentially lose a chance to go to a school like Arizona is tragic.”
API filed for incorporation on March 17, 2015, but principal Leicha Shaver and coach Ray Forsett have worked together before. That is the source of the skepticism. Shaver and Forsett came from Prime Prep, the controversial school cofounded by Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, which was shut down last year amid a wave of investigations over stolen computers and misappropriated federal funds. Before Prime Prep, Shaver lost her job at Roosevelt High in Dallas, after a school-district investigation found that she had engaged in nepotism and misuse of federal grant money.

  37. Greg Poole

    on McGhee:
McGee has already been able to retain a four-star in and add Brian Herrien after signing day in his first running back class. But in replacing Chubb and Michel, he needs to hit a home run or two. The new coaching staff moved away from Top247 all-purpose back (Hyattsville, MD (DeMatha Catholic), instead pursuing Top 40 prospect D’Andre Swift (Philadelphia/St. Joseph’s), the top all-purpose back in the country. Seven of the last nine Crystal Ball predictions for Swift have been for Georgia.

  38. nolabigdawg

Hobnailboot aka RobG nolabigdawg it’s like a conspiracy to keep us all fat o:)

  39. Hobnailboot aka RobG

MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco PTCDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole Stars lives matter###

  40. Hobnailboot aka RobG

AlphaDawg 26 hours riding along with the Police, that doesn’t sound like punishment that sounds like entertainment….Live episode of Cops

  41. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie it seems he will take davis’ spot. seems the nickel back is going to be a safety

RumRunnerDoogie Yes.  He appears to be our best Man to man cover guy right now and i believe Kirby wants to have at least one man to man guy covering at all times.

  43. DawgDaddy

AlphaDawg Dana Upshaw in Warner Robins is awesome!  He is expensive but worth it.

ZippyMorocco PTCDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole Look at ole Zippy throwing out the millennial age shorthand! IIRC, I had to look it up, I knew i had seen it many times but couldn’t remember exactly what it meant…  Stars do matter!

  45. DawgDaddy

dawgathon BahitsDawg Greg Poole It really was his had he stayed healthy.  I wish he had his 3 years all healthy and not suspended either.

  46. ZippyMorocco

    PTCDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole
So was Thomas Davis. They are the outliers. IIRC, 37% of 5 stars are drafted, 17% of 4 stars, and 3% of 3 stars.

BahitsDawg Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I always thought that was Urban…  He ran a penitentiary down in Gainsville, probably not far from it in Ohio either!

  48. Bulltoad

AlphaDawg If the 12 pick is all they got then I don’t like the deal.  Draft picks are almost worthless in the NBA unless they are high picks and even then you are destined to stink for several years before they can really contribute.  The NBA draft has become like the MLB draft but worse since you can’t put them in the minor leagues for 3-5 years.

  49. BahitsDawg

Reddawg13 DawgLink He is going to bust up some DLs and LBs this year and coming years.   I remember the video posted last year from one of the UGA camps where he was destroying the tackle dummies.  Much more powerful than the other OLs in the drill.

  50. BahitsDawg

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Next thing you know, they move to advance drive-by shootings.  Auburn is famous for those classes.

  51. RumRunnerDoogie

AlphaDawg all ive seen is hes a APB which normally means a scat back but if hes 208 he will be pretty built by the time hes in college

  52. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg AlphaDawg I hate seeing them thrown in the dumpster too, cuz Auburn ends up with them then and that really messes up a kid!

  53. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers RumRunnerDoogie dawgathon yea which is why i kind of took it with a grain of salt when that player (forget him name) said uga had quite a few silents

  54. Reddawg13

Lucas Rogers Reddawg13 AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole okay, well 5 45 poundplates on each side plus 45 pound bar and the smaller weights to the outside is definitely more that 475, not trying to argue with you or the coaches but math is math.

BahitsDawg MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Believe me, I have had personal dealing with this type of situation and I too strongly believe in saving a kid and not throwing them out in the dumpster.  The problem I have here is not what is being done, but how the DA justified the charges being dropped and the unfairness of this when compared to the other 300 million hard working and sweating people in our country.  Playing football at Alabama, LSU or even UGA doesn’t make special or above the law, period!  Like I said, pre-trial diversion, withheld adjudication, drug court and a laundry list of requirements to eventually reduce or expunge the charges.   Again, I don’t want these kids ignored or not helped, I just don’t agree with the precedent or example that is being set.  If my child or your child were in this exact situation, they would not be treated this way.

  56. Lucas Rogers

Reddawg13 AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole check below lol. The Coach that tweeted it said 475

  57. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Ben was doing over 500, I could see 495 but there were some smaller plates to the out side!

  58. AlphaDawg

    The Frontrunner:
The Bulldogs have hosted Swift a handful of times over the past month and, even though he won’t admit it, Georgia is the clear favorite to land his commitment. He really likes the environment in Athens and has built a strong relationship with the coaches, players, and commits.

  59. Lucas Rogers

AlphaDawg Lucas Rogers Lol I don’t have him on snapchat. Yeah there’s a few players in specific that I’d wish would stop partying so much lopl

  60. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie dawgathon The only silents that staff should really take as a “silent commit” are ones that want to surprise on NSD or do an announcement at All American Game. I wouldn’t pay attention to silents before December or January

  61. AlphaDawg

Lucas Rogers AlphaDawg Walker is going to have to cool it with his snaps. That boy won’t see the field if he keeps partying like that all the time. But I agree. Walker, Bellamy, and Carter should fill Jenkins and Floyd’s role fine.

  62. Lucas Rogers

AlphaDawg Lucas Rogers also Walker looked really good in spring game. Was giving Baker (I think it was Baker) fits on the outside

  63. RumRunnerDoogie

dawgathon probably not any or very few. u want momentum heading into signing day. I think the only silents that will go pulbic on NSD are ones that have had that date set from the get go

  64. Colonial Dawg

Panic Fan  Did you enjoy the concert last night?  I believe it was last night you were to see Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Scaggs in Black Mountain?

  65. dawgathon

I wonder how many silent commits CKS will want to keep silent until NSD to make sure that there is buzz for UGA on NSD. Stressful…but a good idea from a marketing perspective.

  66. Lucas Rogers

AlphaDawg Yeah lol, if all things keep the course, in early July he’ll be on the commit list

  67. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I agree.  Hopefully, the counseling and other efforts will help these two get on the straight and narrow.  It is better if you can save a kid than to ignore and send him along on a destructive path.

  68. AlphaDawg

Robert Beal got another CB today to UGA – Bleacher report writer with a 75% accuracy rating

  69. dawgathon

AlphaDawg Smart move. Not a huge drop off between him and Shroeder* to justify the money and needs.

AlphaDawg Drug rehab implies that Hootie has had a few other incidents with the sticky stuff…    Like I said earlier, that is fine and I appreciate Alabama’s efforts to help them, but you punish football players by making them miss football games!  It is a unfair competitive advantage when “student” Athletes are treated differently with respect to playing time based on where they go to school.  Wake up SEC/NCAA as the Senator says…. time to “Get the Picture”.

  71. AlphaDawg

According to the documents, both players have had to undergo weekly urine tests, have had regular drug counseling, have monthly video appointments with a mental health consultant and have had to meet twice a week with a Tuscaloosa police officer for gun safety/ownership education.
They also both have had to complete 20 hours of community service.
In addition, Robinson has spent at least 26 hours riding along with the Northport Police Department while Jones had to spend 21 days in a drug rehab program, per the documents.

Playing time has not been decided.

  72. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole Dominique Sanders will have his radar on.

  73. Panic Fan

MMCSDAWG Panic Fan Colonial Dawg Bulldawg36 My Mom said she had  Pecan tree come down behind her house.

  74. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole They probably did not like this one either, haha

  75. BahitsDawg

DawgDaddy MMCSDAWG Greg Poole It is funny that the rank Kirby at 10 in the SEC and he hasn’t coached a game.

I really hope that he is up in the top 3 on next summer’s Athlon list.  (nationally, not just SEC 🙂

Panic Fan MMCSDAWG Colonial Dawg Bulldawg36 My dads address is Meansville as well.  That’s cool. He was telling me Sunday that his yard was still full of limbs and he had a pine that fell last week during a bad storm!

RayRayDawg AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG  Always best to be fitted by a professional!  Unfortunately there are numerous retail shops that claim to “Fit” people, but they are not truly certified and some don’t even have a clue what they are doing…   Finding a true club fitter is important.  Where do you coach Ray?  I never picked up a club until I was a senior in HS, wish I had, but I did pick up the game quick and won some regional tourney’s my senior year.  I walked on and played with Sauers and Mudd at Ga. Southern.  I was only there a couple of years, but I did get to travel a few times!

  78. Panic Fan

MMCSDAWG Colonial Dawg Panic Fan Bulldawg36 That’s just over the hill from my family farm on Vickory Rd., the farm has a Meansville address.

BahitsDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole And I wouldn’t trade our freshman for him this year!  I don’t believe Dobbs can lead them to a championship.  He is a poor passer and that will come to home to haunt them this year!

Colonial Dawg Panic Fan Bulldawg36 My dad Lives between Thomaston and Zebulon off Old Meansville Rd!

  81. DawgDaddy

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole No big deal, the SEC has  a great coach at UT, just ask the fans, lol.

  82. RayRayDawg

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG the flex is more important than the club. go get fit. i’m a golf coach and i can tell you that if the flex is not right, it is almost impossible to have consistent face contact. there are different weights of the same flex also. go to a club fitter.

  83. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole might be possibly considering the proximity to uga over michigan during the rest of the year

PTCDawg AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco That’s a good explaination!  Solid piece of metal vice a molded club!

  85. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole plus…. how can the on field guys make the call real time, then take such a long time to do a replay call?  it is dumbfounding.

  86. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole I hope the make the calls fast.  How often do the TV announcers and all of us at home have the correct call minutes before replay officials?

I have NEVER understood why it takes so long.

  87. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole it seems the best thing Butch has going for him this year is his QB.  People are giving the vols a better chance than us based on him.  Dude is gone next year, so Butch better get it all done this season.

    hot seat

  88. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole plus, he doesn’t screen much for academics and character.   IIRC, his signing classes have much higher “burn” factor than ours.  (Higher non-qualifiers, flunk outs, legal trouble dismissals, etc)

  89. PTCDawg

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG ZippyMorocco its pounded metal as opposed to having been poured into a mold. i think.

  90. PTCDawg

Greg and Lucas convinced me that Beal and Herring fit better
in a LB list than a DL list. So moving them over here are my two lists of high
value targets for UGA for 2017:
LB: Jaden Hunter, Breon Dixon, Malik Herring, Robert Beal,
Nate McBride, Markaviest Bryant, Will Ignont, Nathan Proctor
    DL: ?

  91. BroDawg

AlphaDawg Bulldawg36 This set was actually in Senoia, GA in Coweta County. I live about 5 minutes from here in Brooks. Woodbury is a cool little town though…

  92. AlphaDawg

PTCDawg AlphaDawg Greg Poole I typically check sizes of 3 stars. When you’re TE is 6’2 and 230 I know something isn’t right.
Now if they were rated a 3 star and 6’5 245 I could see some potential.

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG Greg Poole upon closer observation, i do see some smaller weights on the bar with Ben!   Thanks!

  94. AlphaDawg

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Hey man got to start somewhere! I was lucky enough to be passed down some old Callaway x-14 and Ping G-10 driver. Probably close to 10 years old at this point but they’ve served well while I figure out what I really want

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Right, I had a set of those too!  You will know it when you hit it off center for sure! Sweet spot about the size of a quarter.

Greg Poole Looks like the same # of 45# as Big Ben is doing right….   Looks like 4 to me.   like a RB with lower body strength!

  97. PTCDawg

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Hey….how come no one is screaming about how stars dont matter? After all, JJ Watt was a 2 star, you know!  :>)

  98. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole It’s amazing how the Vols fans are just now noticing that Butch does quantity over quality. He did it a couple of years ago to try and promote “hype” around the program. The fans refused to believe the math. Now I’m starting to see more of their fans acknowledge they need more quality players. But Butch will continue to process 3stars for 3stars.

  99. Greg Poole

Some examples of teams that are incredibly on June 22 due to quantity over quality include:
No. 7 Tennessee (only three of 18 commitments are four- or five-stars),
    No. 11 Texas A&M (four of 14),
No. 13. Arizona (three of 18),
No. 14 Mississippi State (two of 16),
No. 16 Northwestern (none of 16),
No. 17 South Carolina (one of 16) and
No. 19 Oklahoma State (one of 16)
If those ratios and ratings hold, and, these teams will plummet as other teams begin to add more (and better) players to their classes. These seven teams have an average rank of 14th, and I’m willing to bet that falls to something in the mid-20s by Signing Day. We’ll revisit this at that point.

  100. Greg Poole

The SEC on Wednesday announced Ben Oldham as its new coordinator of football replay, filling a newly-created position that reports to the coordinator of football officials, Steve Shaw. He’ll oversee the the SEC will implement this fall.
Oldham retired from on-field officiating after calling Florida State’s win over Virginia Tech in the 2000 Sugar Bowl, but has remained active as a replay official, recently overseeing Oregon’s 2015 Rose Bowl win over Florida State. He also has six SEC championship games to his credit.

  101. BahitsDawg

dawgathon Greg Poole love that attempted tackle at about the 40 when the gator pulls on his shirt or towel or something, and TG just powers through.  I miss that Dawg.  I sure wish he had not been suspended all those games and had not gotten hurt.  Imagine the numbers he would have had.

  102. Doc R

BahitsDawg Doc R Reddawg13 Greg Poole where I come from, we always had a different term, lol

  103. Doc R

Reddawg13 Doc R Greg Poole and his “vag-neck”—can I say that here??
    If not, delete, greg

Reddawg13 And it can be “Now”!  Set your goals high and you will reach new heights!

  105. AlphaDawg

Bulldawg36 There’s a BrooklynDawg over at 247 but I don’t know if it’s the same person or not.

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG That’s a good deal for sure!   There is a golf site I frequent often.  It is a great place for info and reviews as well as they have a classified section where avid golfers buy and sell a lot of equipment.  I have purchased a set of irons, a fairway wood, and several shafts from the classifieds over there.  Some people have more money than sense and buy the newest greatest thing, only to find out it’s not for them and end up selling it within a month.  Anyway, the site is

  107. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG Reddawg13 AlphaDawg I’ve been fortunate that my wife enjoys hitting the range and course with me. We bring some beer, some tunes, and turn off the phones. We went last Friday as a date night where she was my caddy. I would be hitting my pitching wedge onto the green and she would meet me out there with my putter. Can’t beat that!

  108. DawgLink

F$U had their hands full of bad press from Jameis and did not want anymore at the time. Plus all of the lawyers fees and payout

  109. Reddawg13

Bulldawg36 I drive through there when I have meetings in Manchester. It is pretty dead, but there should be somewhere to eat lunch. But limited choices.

  110. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Stubbornness! I love playing, not real great at it yet, but I enjoy playing and I don’t cause any hold ups for the folks behind me. I’ve really worked on my drives as of late and been very impressed with my progress. Still a little inconsistent but I’ve learned how to control the slice better.
I hope the TM go back on sale. It was a 3h,4h, 5-pw set for $369 – I can’t spend too much on clubs just yet. Maybe my next set when it’s clear I’m going to make it a hobby.

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg LMAO!!!!  Me too brother!  There are some good golf reference when dealing with the GF!  Chicks dig the long ball brother!

  112. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I have told my wife on many occasions that I play better with a stiffer shaft!

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG   No problem…  probably more that you really wanted to hear, but I can’t help it ###.  I’ve played with my BF for almost 25 years now and he has always been a 16-20 hdcp golfer.  I would give him advice and stuff, but for years he never listened or ignored me haha!  finally a few years ago he finally listed to me when I told him to move the ball back in his stance with his irons and focus on hitting down into the ball first, not trying to pick it off off the ground or lift the ball up in the air with his swing.  Especially his shorter irons.  The man could not and would never us a sand wedge or gap wedge out of the fairway.  He would punch a wedge or 8 iron.  I told him you have to hit down to make it go up and he refused to believe me and kept hitting thin and inconsistent with his medium and short irons…  Finally one day, he started moving the ball back a little at a time and started actually hitting the ball with a descending blow…  Now his butt just beat me naturally this past Saturday with his lowest round of his life at a 77 and has lowered his handicap to an 11 soon to be 10!    Golf is a humbling sport, but one I love!

  114. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 he usually goes into hibernation this time of year since no real news comes out

  115. RumRunnerDoogie

Panic Fan i remember always look at this case are in “evidence be damned, we will drag him and his family in the mud for political points”

  116. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg I’m 5’10. Thanks for the feedback. I was reading about it and it seemed like it would probably work for me if I can’t go with the TM I want. Since they’re steel I thought it might be worth investigating more. Yeah I was at the PGA store last weekend and I should have had my swing speed measured, but I didn’t.

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg my club of choice is the blue club at putt putt, but thats just me

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG I haven’t played this particular shaft, but I do play Callaway products and did see this particular shaft when I was purchasing my last set.  I’m almost 55 and I still play a stiff shaft in my irons and actually played an extra-stiff shaft in my driver until just a few months ago.   From what I remember the Uniflex is supposed to deliver somewhere between stiff and regular, which would benefit a large portion of the golfing community.   Of course the best thing to do is get fitted by a professional, but for the average golfer, even that isn’t going to provide the instant success they think it is.

How Tall are you Alpha?  Believe it or not, but one of the most important things about selecting or adjusting your shafts is swing weight, length and lie angle.  Too many golfer are using the wrong lie angle on their clubs.  This is where I would spend the money for professional help if ever you get that involved in the game.

I am old school and grew up in the game hitting forged blade irons, and I swear, that is the best way to improve your game even today.  If I’m having a hard time controlling my irons or feel that something is off.  I will go out to the range a couple of times with my old Hogan Blades and hit a few buckets.  Those irons with give you immediate and valuable feedback about where you are actually hitting the ball on the clubface.

Anyway, I would feel confident in those Shafts.  The stiffer shaft you can play the better.

Bulldawg36 FDR’s Little White House is in Warm Springs, and Callaway Gardens near—I live about 10 minutes up the road from there

Panic Fan Thanks for posting Panic!  This is/was and will always be a travesty IMO!

MMCSDAWG AlphaDawg Alright, my choice of clubs are TM Aeroburners – Hit with those before and really loved them. Was dumb and didn’t buy the closeout deal and now they’re gone (still waiting).
However, I found some Nike VRS Coverts 2.0 that I like and read they’ve got really good forgiveness (which I desperately need 🙂
Only thing holding me back from buying them is that they are “Uniflex” shafts.
I haven’t been tested to see what my swing speed is, but I assume I need a stiff considering I’m 27. I’m no power blaster but I’ve got no kinks in the swing and as I become better I should increase more.
Do you have any comments regarding Uniflex? I know Nike and Callaway use them. These are still steel shafts also.

Greg Poole Maybe they’ll make a second story entrance from Kirby’s office so he can over look all its glory.

Greg Poole That bought back repressed memories of JHC and Matthews that I was hoping to never have to go through again.

Bulldawg36 That’s my old stomping grounds, back in the late 80’s early 90’s!!  Not much going on in Woodbury, check out Warm Springs or Thomaston.

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Not sure, but he sure has impressed so far!  Maybe he has a twin no one knows about!

  129. Bulldawg36

That’s cool!! Congrats to your daughter!! Yeah my wife is interviewing at the flint river academy

  130. Doc R

Bulldawg36 my daughter just interviewed at a small private school there, but looks like she will take a different job

AlphaDawg Greg Poole I agree with most of your post too Alpha.  I am very impressed with the staff CKS has put together.  The one person I see being Kirby Jr. and the one that will be here the longest is Shuman.  He looks to me to be Kirby’s protege, I could see him rising to the ranks of DC sooner rather than later and eventually taking a HC job somewhere.  I am really impressed with this young man.  If half of the stuff we’ve read about him at Alabama is true, he might be the most valuable assistant on the defense.

  132. Bulldawg36

I kind of like it here. Lol. Yeah I-85 can be rough …it was like a race track this morning

  133. Bulldawg36

Durn, I should of packed my lunch My wife has a interview at a school here today.

  134. Bulldawg36

Brooklyn dawg must of moved back to New York.. We don’t here nothing from him anymore

Bulldawg36 I drove through there last week on my way home because I-85S was backed up for miles—-not much there, but I didn’t stop either

Greg Poole I don’t believe these young men’s lives should be ruined either, but I also don’t believe the incident should be swept under the rug either.  The charges could have been reduced with some pre-trial diversion program and adjudication could have been withheld until these young men completed a laundry list of required events including drug court supervised by the court and transferred to Alabama’s system.  I don’t like the message that has been sent or the precedence it sets.  Actually it infuriates me.  I don’t disagree with what Alabama and Saban are doing, but those things should be on top of the legal system and the SEC/NCAA should have a standard by which all teams play under.  The current disparity is ridiculous and presents and unfair advantage much like PED’s or other things that the NCAA is so unified against.   Missing Football games is how you teach a lesson to a football player, period!

Anybody know something about Woodbury? Any suggestions on where to eat? If not, I’ll just google it my brothers

  138. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg I think Chaney and Pittman are happy but either would take the ‘right’ HC job. Tucker needs a bit more time in CFB andI think you are right about Coley.

  139. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole I hope so, it’s getting ridiculous.
A little off topic but still around our assistants. Does it seem like to everyone else that we’ve got a group of guys who don’t seem to want a HC gig? At least in Chaney and Pittman. Both are well seasoned coaches who could have had a crack at a HC job by now. Tucker seems he might want a HC job but from my understanding he had a chance before the UGA job. Coley will probably be a OC in a few years if he can produce great WRs given his drive at recruiting he’ll be a hot candidate somewhere.

    Any thoughts?

  140. Greg Poole

The school, totaling $4,634,000. While four returning assistants received raises — other than Lane Kiffin — Alabama is saving money with its new coaches. (It’s also worth noting Alabama gave out $1.65 million in bonuses last year).
Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt’s $1 million is $500,000 less than Kirby Smart made, defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley’s $395,000 is $105,000 less than Mel Tucker, defensive line coach Karl Dunbar’s $275,000 is $200,000 less than Bo Davis, and Brent Key’s $350,000 is about $90,000 less than Bobby Williams.
Alabama was already slightly behind LSU and Auburn in salary, but Auburn’s will also likely be lower, too. The 2016 numbers would have also been below Georgia last year. Assistant salaries have been on the rise for the past five-plus years, but are we starting to see a plateau at the top?–Quotes–June-22

Greg Poole Lots of whining and complaining around here this morning after the UF 2 and a barbeque!   Gotta love it!  I absolutely hate the Gaturds!

  142. RobDawg

You know if you try to read the school logos as arranged in McBrides Twitter photo it spells “goals”… with the auburn one being an “L” for losers
