TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECT: Jaelin Humphries

Jaelin Humphries is a 6-5 305-pound four-star defensive tackle. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 23 prospect in the state of Georgia. Humphries holds 15 offers right now ranging from South Carolina to Appalachian State. He recently went on an unofficial visit to South Carolina on February 17. However, it appears Georgia’s still in the mix.

I spoke with Humphries about his recruitment and even got a top three from this talented defensive tackle.

Interview with Jaelin Humphries:

Q: How is the overall recruiting process going for you?

A: “Recruiting is going good right now.”

Q: Schools in the running where you’ll take your official visits?

A: “Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and other schools I will be planning to take official visits.”

Q: What do you think of Georgia?

A: “I like Georgia a lot, and I’m planning to come back for another visit.”

Q: How hard are they recruiting you? And what are some things they are telling you?

A: “They’re recruiting me pretty hard and especially for my position because they need someone to replace it bad.”

Q: What are some things Georgia tells you when they talk about you coming?

A: “They tell me what a factor I can be on defense, and they have the best to offer me than other places.”

Q: What do you think of Tray Scott and the staff? Give me your thoughts on him and Kirby Smart.

A: “I like coach Scott and the staff there. They make you feel welcome. Coach Smart is a great person to meet and I’ve had a few talks with him.”

Q: What are the key factors that will go into your decision?

A: “The key factors are going to be where I fit in the best and what can they offer me the best too.”

Q: Do you have a top three? Can you say if any team is in the lead?

A: “Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. But they’re all neck to neck.”
