Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Signal Mtn Dawg  Jacoby seems to be unsettled. For a while it was all UGA, then Bama and then on to LSU. I don’t think anyone has a handle on his recruitment right now.

I was wondering the same two things … Jacoby has always been icing on the cake for me.. With lecount on deck and the kid from Florida in next years class I think we’re good.. I would like to see us grab at least two good d line prospects this year

Greetings All!   Its been a while since I have posted…thought I’d drop in.

Impressed with everything CKS has done so far and I do have expectations to be in the mix this season.

    Recruiting questions:
    1. How are we with Jacoby Stevens?  I thought we had him but I seriously doubt he will commit to UGA
    2.  Is anyone else shocked that we are not getting DL prospects lined up to play for us?  We lost out on some big names last year but we still landed some really good prospects.  This year???

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Bulldawg Bob2 I don’t think that list is giving any SECE teams much credit, therefore they slid Arkansas in there before us and UT

dsw61 That one guy sitting about 15 rows up on the 50 must really be missing football.  Just sitting there watching grass grow.  haha

Good to hear fella. Yeah it got pretty boring , but I was thankful for all the stuff they gave us. Pretty nice people

Hey rugby. I live about 45 min southeast of Raleigh. Been down west of Lumberton in Red Springs, NC. Winston Salem is about 3 hours or so west of me. I appreciate the offer, but I better hang out at home for a while.

Arkansas has some talent at RB, but not a lot of proven talent. Not sure how they landed at 3, especially now that Collins and Williams are gone

66DAWGnNC Bulldawg Bob2 Where you at 66 I am in Winston —  always extra room here for BI brothers coming thru

Bulldawg Bob2 Great to hear the positive news on your wife Bob –and great to have you back !

Very cool trip but be ready for prices that you’ve likely likely never seen before as it is one of the most expensive cities in the world during normal times and I can only imagine that prices will increase during Olympics.

DawgLink  He was busy with track and just getting ready for school and to be healthy to compete for his senior football season. In the end, I think it comes down to a Bama – Georgia battle for him, but nothing is a sure thing in recruiting.

Greg Poole  Aye. When UGA stopped playing Clemson on a regular basis as they did through the 60s and 80s and into the early 90s, USCe replaced that rivalry, especially when Spurrier became their HC. Wonder if it will carry the same intensity as it did under Muschamp?

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

For me, it is Auburn and Florida as far as SEC rivalries go.

OOC opponents it would GT followed by Clemson.

Bulldawg Bob2 he had the “runs” and had an “accident” on the field, but all is well after a good shower, lol

My wife kind of shot it down because of the large Olympic crowds.. But I have a little time to work on her…. 🙂
