Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Greg Poole I judge you Trey, and find you….. Not Guilty and award all the legal fees and excessive judgements in your favor!

Bulldawg36 take a grinder to it

(note, not serious mechanical advice.   Use at your own risk of life and limb.)

I might but the steering wheel still shakes. Lol. My ties have plenty of tread but one of them have a dip in it… It’s warped!!!!!!!!! Just gonna hold off on buying new tires!!!!

  4. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Everyone was fine at the scene and the crash report.  The jokers in the old truck filed injury claims afterward.  I don’t know what it will do to my insurance.

Greg Poole The old pasty dude likes to run around camp without his shirt on.  He is probably doesn’t like the idea that he needs to keep his clothes on.

Sorry that happened to your son- that’s horrible! Hope he didn’t get hurt? Thanks I’ll get me one those.

Bulldawg36 You said cars like to hit you.  Get yourself one of these.  I ordered 3 after my son got in a peculiar scam like wreck a few weeks ago.  An old truck was stopped in the road with their hand out as a turn signal, but waving like come around (just at dusk, too).  When he went to pass them, they turned into him.  🙁

A good thing to believe. Running the ball successfully in the sec is the life blood of the program. In UGA’s best years we were able to pound the rock.

BenKellam I’m not sure if Lambert starts in game 1; but on paper the UNC game actually would be a good game to get Eason experience because of the inexperience they have at LB. The TEs and slot receivers should be open all game. Those are easy throws for Eason, and he won’t need to worry about pass protection because the ball will be coming out so quick. And…based on the highlight video I’ve watched of other QBs Chaney has coached…you can expect a few play-action long bombs when the defense makes it available.

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie gezz who saw that coming## i definitely raised a eyebrow when i heard about samoa, better off going to Hawai’i

  11. Greg Poole

BenKellam  This will not be a response to your question, but I doubt there is an existing prejudice against playing a freshman IF the competition is close. In other words, the question we should be asking is how much better than Eason do Lambert/Ramsey have to be to get the start.
If it is close, I think they go with Eason, simplify the playbook, and hope he will make enough plays to offset the inevitable gaffes.

RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Right…  Southern Cali is much more to their liking!

  13. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole i know per capita samoa has the most NFL players but probably be low reward for michigan to go out there, the pac 12 gets those players. Not to mention most polys arent that fond of snow lol

BenKellam  I’m not necessarily in the Lambert “camp.” but just don’t think that CKS starts a true freshman against a good opponent on a national stage in his first game as a HC.  For that reason and that reason alone, I think that one of the other QBs start against UNC unless they are just absolutely horrendous during camp.  Depending on how the game goes, I could see Eason potentially getting a few snaps against UNC, but think that he might get a lot of playing time the following week, particularly if we get up big early in the game.  All of this is obviously contingent on Eason showing well during camp.

  15. MMCSDAWG

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Ya Think… !  lol   More cases in Florida than American Samoa!

  16. RumRunnerDoogie

1mandawgpack RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole which side has he worked out with when he camps with UGA?

  17. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole but yet zika is in florida..didnt stop him here lol. i wouldnt be surprised if this is the AD not wanting to pony up the huge amount of money to get out there..that wouldnt be cheap at all

  18. BenKellam

A question for those who are in the Lambert starts game 1 camp. How much playing time, if any, does Eason get week 2 vs. Nicholls state? Seems like a perfect time for him to get real game reps whether he plays any in game 1 or not.

  19. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole  I think I’ve seen posts that indicate that Gibbs might project as an ATH/WR, but I’m sure the staff would also let him commit as a DB.

  20. MMCSDAWG

1mandawgpack MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Reddawg13 I won’t blame him or be extremely disappointed if he starts someone else, but I just believe the talent gap far outweighs the talent gap.  Like I’ve said, I appreciate everything Lambert has done for us and I don’t underestimate his experience. But, I will say that he didn’t perform very well on the big stage last year against Alabama.  It wasn’t all his fault and our offensive staff was abysmal, but the fact remains that he didn’t handle the big game pressure very well and Kirby was on hand when he took the field against Alabama between the hedges.  So, like I said, I believe Eason will start game 1, unless there is an obvious issue with his ability to execute our new offense.

  21. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie  I agree with Greg in that we really won’t know how any of the “extra” scholarships that open up as a result of attrition will be utilized until this class shapes up a bit more.  I’ve seen numerous people say that we plan to take only 4 WRs, but if we get a commitment from a WR soon other than Holloman, etc. (several of the individuals who have said that they have a binding offer no matter how many others have committed at the position), then I think some of those ‘ships will have to be used to take those highly rated commitments.  The good news is that it’s a win/win either way given the way that this coaching staff is recruiting at the moment.

  22. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie yea and possibly adding stevens and gibbs to the DBs would be worth it too. but im sure they both already had committable offers

  23. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie  We touched on that on the podcast this morning – I’m not sure how that will go. I would love to see them take 6 OL but I’m not sure that happens. The reason I say that is that I can see them taking 5 OL for several more years.

  24. Bulldawg36

Congrats on your new job! How are u liking it so far? I’m doing ok..ready for the 4th as well!!!

  25. RumRunnerDoogie

hey greg do u think smart uses to clay scholly for another big ugly or go after another safety? i know UGA is really high up for at least 3 projected top safeties
