Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Frankly BTW – look for UGA to continue to take smat, in-state PWO linemen. The Hope Scholarship is a great recruiting tool for bright kids who are projects. Take 2 or 3 PWO OL each year and in three years you have a built pipeline of RS junior contributors.

Frankly all our crootin’ experts are on leave lol. time for me and greg to shoot blindly with this

I’m going with slightly better. But UGA historically has been a great running team. We’ve never been good when we couldn’t run the damned ball!!!!!

Greg Poole I know we aren’t supposed to put too much on G-Day games, but the passing looked very hopeful.  I say we are much improved through the air this year.

MMCSDAWG this type of surgery imo isnt something that u shake off and go play football again

Frankly  I expect Demery to commit fairly soon, Thomas and Gray looking good. Not sure about the others

    Greg Poole
It was so anemic last year that it can’t help but be better in 2016.

  8. Bulldawg36

Yep! He has the size and expereince to make a run at the starting LT position!!!! I’m glad UGA got em and not bummer!

  9. DawgDaddy

Bulldawg36 I am looking forward to seeing him, great coaching should make him into a really solid NFL draft choice.

Greg Poole Not to be throwing stones but it certainly doesn’t sound a lot different to me.

Greg Poole It is interesting that Georgia had according to 247, better recruiting classes than all of them over the last 5 years except for Tennessee in 2015 (one lower), 2014 (one lower), Floriduh 2013 (3 vs 12), 2012 (4 vs 8)

So, if coaching makes a bigger difference than recruiting, and we have the coaches we think we have vs. those other guys…..

Ok, experience QB is usually worth a few games as well as other experienced players.  Still, interesting stats.

Greg Poole Doesn’t matter who calls it deserving or not, UGA was the undisputed MNC champ for the 1980 season.

DawgDaddy BahitsAgain Yeah, let’s see where teams are come Feb next year, something tells me the usual suspects will be at the top as usual.  Teams like Miss St. and Kentucky will be middle of the road as usual!

Greg Poole I would replace the Ga Tech game with the UNC game.  The UNC game for me would definitely qualify as a “Swing” game.  This game will set the initial tone for the new regime.  Win and things are off to a great start, Lose and the speculations and lunatic fringe of the fanbase will be out in full force.

Greg Poole Kid comes from a rough part of town here in Jax.  The thing that has impressed me the most is his dedication to loosing weight and staying out of trouble.  I too believe this kid might be a diamond and once he get a couple of years in the Pittman OL training factory, he could be a really good one!

Reddawg13 MMCSDAWG  Right…  He did nothing but deflect and make excuses, he did nothing in the way of accepting accountability.   I don’t mind teams that operate in the gray areas from time to time, we know they all do, but don’t preach to me about honesty and integrity when you are knowingly cheating!  There is no doubt in my military mind that He is a liar and a snake!

MMCSDAWG I am not a Hugh Freeze fan at all! He is crooked as a Barrel of fish hooks!
