ATHENS, Ga. — The 18th-ranked Georgia gymnastics team will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for its NCAA regional, announced Monday afternoon by the NCAA.

The six-team regional will be hosted by No.6 Alabama and will take place on Saturday, April 7 at 5 p.m. ET.  Joining the GymDogs and Crimson Tide will be No. 7 Michigan, No. 22 Missouri, No. 23 Illinois, and No. 36 Central Michigan.

The two teams with the highest scores from each regional will advance to St. Louis, Missouri for the NCAA Semifinals and potentially Super Six on April 20 and 21 at Chaifetz Arena.

The GymDogs will begin the meet with a bye before competing on floor in the second rotation. From there Georgia will move to vault, head to another bye, bars, and beam, respectively.

In 34 all-time regional appearances, Georgia has won 24 regional championships and finished second ten times.  A year ago, the 10th-seeded GymDogs advanced through the Gainesville regional and finished 12th at the NCAA Championships.
