For the seventh time this season, the SEC has named University of Georgia outside hitter T’ara Ceasar the SEC Freshman of the Week.

While this is the seventh SEC Freshman of the Week award for Ceasar, it is also the third-straight for the Panama City, Florida native. The award is Georgia’s 12th conference weekly award this season.

Ceasar led the Georgia offense in both matches last weekend. She started with 11 kills at Kentucky then followed up with a double-double performance at Tennessee, featuring 14 kills and 15 digs. She hit .312 in the sweep of the Lady Vols. The double-double was her eighth this season while she extended her double-digit kill streak to 10 matches.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, Ceasar ranks third in the conference in kills (4.20) and points per set (4.89) and fourth in aces (0.42).

Ceasar and the Bulldogs play at LSU Wednesday before squaring off against Kentucky in the regular season finale Friday at Stegeman Coliseum.
