UGA commit Mark Webb’s decision for Georgia came not too long after his cousin D’Andre Swift announced his intentions to play for the Bulldogs.
Although Webb and Swift made known their intentions to play together in college, there is definitely not a weak link in this so-called package deal. Swift may be one of the nation’s highest-rated recruits, but Webb is not too bad himself as he is a highly ranked four-star wide receiver.
Webb also hails from the Philadelphia area and it could be argued that he is the Bulldog’s most talented receiver commit, thus far. With the Bulldogs losing players like Isaiah McKenzie and Reggie Davis in their receiving corps, There is plenty of room for some of the younger receivers to make an impact. I believe that out of all of the Bulldogs’ receiver commits Webb is one of two receivers that should find the field this season.
The Bulldogs receiving corps continues to add elite talent in each class and this class is no different. Webb will definitely help add depth to the position and how he grasps the system and competes will determine if he earns playing time day one or not.
If Webb does not crack the rotation in the Bulldogs’ opener, I believe that he will eventually crack it later in the season.
