Jillian Hollingshead, who is consistently ranked among the nation’s most elite prospects, has signed a national letter of intent with the University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball program.

The Powder Springs, Ga., native made the announcement during a signing day event Saturday. She is the fourth signee of Georgia’s 2021 class, joining fellow top-40 prospect Reigan Richardson (Huntersville, N.C.) as well as Alina Sendar (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Kimora ‘Kimmie’ Jenkins (Long Island, N.Y.).

“We have been recruiting this special lady for a long time,” Georgia head coach Joni Taylor said. “Jillian is an elite player. At 6-foot-5, she brings tremendous size and athleticism to the forward position. She’s extremely skilled, and her ability to dribble, pass and shoot the ball from behind the arc are unique for her size. Jillian really is the entire package. She is a leader and someone her teammates look up to, and we could not be happier that she chose to stay home and play here in her home state.”

Hollingshead is the No. 5-ranked forward and the No. 37 overall player in the 2021 class according to espnW. ProspectsNation.com tabs her as the No. 2-ranked forward in the nation. The explosive front court star was also ranked No. 22 in the ESPN HoopGurlz Terrific 25 for the high school class of 2021.

After spending three seasons at Holy Innocents Episcopal School, Hollingshead transferred to McEachern High School. As a sophomore, she helped Holy Innocents to a Region 5A championship and a state title, scoring a game-high 25 points to go with 10 boards in the championship game. She was also an Atlanta Tip-Off Club First-Team All-State selection.

Hollingshead was invited to the USA Women’s U16 National Team trials, where she was one of 18 finalists for the 2019 USA Women’s U16 National Team.
