As the Summer Olympics 2016 come to a close, it’s fun to see how our beloved dawgs are performing down in Brazil. According to the @UGAALUMNIASSOCIATION , University of Georgia grads, both old and new, have racked up TEN medals! Let’s take a look at who those athletes are…

 

Chase Kalisz ‘17 — SILVER medalist in the 400m 1M (SWIM/DIVE)

Olivia Smoliga ’17 — GOLD medalist in the 4×100 medley relay (SWIM/DIVE)

Brittany MacLean ’17 — BRONZE medalist in the 4×200 free relay (SWIM/DIVE)

Chantal Van Landeghem ’17 — BRONZE medalist in the 4×100 free (SWIM/DIVE)

Melanie Margalis (BSFCS ’14) — GOLD medalist in the 4×200 free relay (SWIM/DIVE)

Allison Schmitt (BS ’14) — GOLD medalist in the 4×200 free relay + SILVER medalist in the 4×100 free (SWIM/DIVE)

Gunnar Bentz — GOLD medalist in the 4x200m free (SWIM/DIVE)

Amanda Weir — SILVER medalist in the 4×100 free (SWIM/DIVE)

Conor Dwyer — BRONZE medalist in the 200m free (SWIM/DIVE)

Caeleb Dressel — GOLD medalist in the 4×100 free (SWIM/DIVE)

Shaunea Miller — GOLD medalist in the 400m (TRACK/FIELD)
