Reddawg13 1mandawgpack  I agree Reddawg – I have several friends who are GSPs and I know that they have a hard job as they’ve never once pulled someone over who was guilty.  However, I truly believe that these men try very hard to uncover the truth as they don’t take lightly the impact that an arrest can have on a person long-term.  However, with respect to the Briscoe episode, there were too many pieces of information that the officer willingly overlooked in his arrest.

  2. Reddawg13

AlphaDawg yep, I still say Eason starts with Ramsey as number two, god bless him but Lambert is not the answer

  3. Reddawg13

1mandawgpack the jerk cops are causing the good ones to get lumped in, some of the bosses need to step up and make some corrections

The AJC article regarding Briscoe’s arrest indicates that he has a valid Maryland DL.  The arresting officer indicated that Briscoe did not inform him that he had a valid license issued by another state (as confirmed by a UGA spokesperson), so he did not do a computer search to verify.  As he is a student, he is NOT required to have a DL issued by Georgia as he is not considered a permanent resident.  So, while it wasn’t very smart for Briscoe to not mention the valid license to the officer, it was also not smart of the officer to assume that just because he had failed a Georgia license test, he should not have been driving at all (particularly since it appears that Briscoe was driving his own car, which would also be registered in Maryland).  While Briscoe may have been confused as to the requirement for a Georgia resident to have a valid Georgia DL, the officer should know the law and this whole mess could have been avoided by asking a simple question and performing a quick computer search.  I’m glad that this episode continues to shine light on the ridiculous tactics taken by many law enforcement agencies in and around Athens, but particularly the UGA campus police. If the outcry yesterday was deafening, the release of this additional information should only add fuel to the fire as this was an episode of “guilty until proven innocent.”

Still got to finish with a winning record in sec play so they won’t start out having to playing one of the top teams in the sec in regional play. But we will see how they finish

  6. Bulldawg Bob2

TeeHDawg  Bulldawg Bob2  The key for Wims, and any JUCO for that matter, is they have to come in and stay healthy to play and practice. Injuries will set back any player, but for JUCOs it really puts them behind the 8 ball because they usually only 1 to 2 years of eligibility left.

And of course, as you mentioned, getting the playbook down.

I think if he comes in, learns the offense enough to be trusted by Chaney and Coley, stays healthy, he will earn a good bit of playing time. It would not surprise me to see him start in the top 4 group.

  7. TeeHDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 TeeHDawg I can imagine having Collins as a redzone weapon along with what we already have.

With the way Stanley and Chigbu played in the spring, how will Wims factor in? Does he start if he gets the playbook down?

  8. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36  That is because 8 of the top 20 women’s softball teams in college are in the SEC, including Georgia. One poll has 9 of the SEC teams in the top 20.

Fierce competition in the SEC in softball. It is akin to football or women’s basketball.

  9. Bulldawg36

Maybe so, but the lady dawgs are only 9-9 in sec play I believe. They also lost the series with Tennessee at home. Just mixed results from both squads

  10. Bulldawg Bob2

Bulldawg36  Probably true of the baseball team, but don’t sell the softball team short. Auburn was the number 2 team ranked in the country and IMO maybe the best softball team in the country even though they are not ranked 1. When the Lady Dawgs are on, they are hard to beat. I think Georgia’s softball team will go deep into the post-season.

  11. Bulldawg Bob2

TeeHDawg  Bulldawg Bob2  Walker really loves playing basketball, and I think he has made a decision to just stick with bball. I don’t see him going back to football or doing both.

Higgins does have some AJ green in him, especially when you watch him go up and attack the ball, plus the way he controls his body while in the air. He just doesn’t have Green’s speed.

If Collins’ adds about 15 lbs of muscle and plays at 210 lbs without losing a step, he would be a big weapon. Imagine haveing Collins and Woerner in redzone or short yardage situations and just throwing it up to them to go get? That’s two 6-5 guys that are athletic and long. Add the TEs like Blazevich, Harris and Nauta in there, and that is scary to defend.

  12. Bulldawg36

Rough weekend for the diamond & softball teams. I don’t expect neither team will make it far in post season play if they make it.

  13. Bulldawg Bob2

RumRunnerDoogie Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG  I know several people that have failed it. Got a friend’s whose wife doesn’t drive because she freezes and panics every time she takes it. She’s like 39.

  14. Bulldawg36

Poor Tom Brady- won’t be able to deflate regulation NFL footballs for 4 games!U0001f622

  15. TeeHDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 TeeHDawg Thanks. Was watching film on all three this morning and was wondering with was the best prospect out the three. I agree on Collins being number 1 because of his overall game. Walker would be 2 due to his upside, and Higgins 3.

Higgins does seem to have better hands and the way he moves reminds me of AJ green some.

Even though Walker is playing only basketball and is a top prospect there, is there any way he reconsiders football or playing both in college?

  16. Brooklyndawg

RumRunnerDoogie Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG There’s a written test, and a road test if you don’t already have a valid license from another state. So my wife and I only had to pass the written test.

  17. Brooklyndawg

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg According to the police report, it says he was driving an Oldsmobile, and doesn’t specify that he owned the car. “His” only refers to the car he was driving, at least that’s my interpretation. And an Olds isn’t a new Jag either.

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 think its bad there go to south new york (west palm beach) if u are going 90 u will get run over for going too slow

  19. AlphaDawg

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg He just got a new Jag during Christmas break or something. I remember him posting a lot of pics on Snapchat

  20. MMCSDAWG

RumRunnerDoogie Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG With that way people drive around here in Jax, I don’t believe it is either!

  21. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg MMCSDAWG According to the article “His” car was turned over to ” Georgia’s director of player wellness Bryan Gantt”…  So it appears it was his car.  He must have had a Maryland licence, but failed the Georgia driving requirement when he went in to get his license transferred to GA.  He had to have a license at some point of his parents are the worst parents in the world for sending a guy off to college 900 miles away in a car without a license.

  22. RumRunnerDoogie

Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG i didnt even know its possible to fail a drivers test

  23. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg MMCSDAWG And maybe that’s why he flunked a driving test, the trick question was, should I always have my seat belt buckled when I’m driving?

  24. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 I agree with ESPN’s Greg, no way does CKS jeopardize his start as head coach and UGA’s season, plus Eason’s self confidence, by starting Eason at QB. Especially if Chubb isn’t in there at 100% early on. No one’s going to be willing to deal with Chubb’s knee swelling = inflammation

  25. Brooklyndawg

MMCSDAWG Bulldawg Bob2 The other part of the question would be, was someone dumb enough to knowingly lend him a car, if the owner knew Briscoe didn’t have a valid license, from anywhere?

  26. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg Bob2 RumRunnerDoogie MMCSDAWG websater naw we already took one in the 3rd round a couple years back

  27. AlphaDawg

Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg Following his snapchat I’m pretty sure he drives a Jaguar too…

  28. Bulldawg Bob2

Brooklyndawg Aye. Not a good decision at all.

It’s Athens, he could have gotten a ride from someone or just retake the DL test and get a valid DL.

  29. Brooklyndawg

    Bulldawg Bob2 Brooklyndawg Bulldawg36 Yes, I was being lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!###

  30. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 He may have improved his football skills, but his IQ didn’t rise with that. CKS must be real thrilled.

  31. Bulldawg Bob2

Brooklyndawg Bulldawg Bob2 MMCSDAWG websater  Hahahahaha.

I don’t think he will either. I think it is more likely he goes between 10 and 15, but I am definitely not a draft guru … although I could go stay in a Holiday Inn Express….
