Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

DawgDaddy Hobnailboot aka RobG Lucas Rogers yeah that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Just what I’ve seen. Also seen broken arm, but we should find out soon

  2. Lucas Rogers

Bansai buckeroo It is an average of all the sites. So if he has a perfect score it means he is ranked #1 on all sites

  3. JessCapel

1mandawgpack I agree, replacing Teague with out-of-control, non-shooter Schoeder, swapping team first Horford for me first Howard, and paying big $$ for poor shooting, non-starter Bazemore doesn’t sound like progress to me.

  4. Backwudz

Checked volnation earlier this afternoon and they already had 25 pages of Tee Higgins sadness…lol

  5. dsw61

Fun to see vol fans in melt down mood over the Tee Higgins decision. Their insiders had them all thinking he was a vol lock. Anyone who posted anything contrary to that opinion was shouted down, called a troll, and told to leave. Don’t think there’s another fan base as intolerant of other views as they are. If you don’t fall in line with their “group think” they run you off. They don’t allow any dissenting opinions…then act surprised when a recruit goes elsewhere.

So you would be OK with Al and this team not going anywhere for next 5 years vs with Dwight just a 3 year contract. Al has been owned by Tristan Thompson the past 2 years in the playoffs

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack Bansai buckeroo man, we got 17″ of rain in May and June

  8. Avon Barksdale

I can’t help but think Brini knows something we don’t….he public ally announces his commitment date, then about a week later he just goes ahead and commits. I got a feeling he was told were running out of spots, maybe a silent commit (or two)?

  9. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Bansai buckeroo Yeah I am in town right now, and it’s dry as could be

  10. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers Frankly Oh I definitely think we are in it with AJ. Especially with JAden and everyone recruiting him, but it’s still a close recruitment

  11. 1mandawgpack

Bansai buckeroo  That’s the first rain we’ve had in about 2 weeks.  It’s ridiculously dry.  However, my daughter played in a travel softball tournament in Chattanooga last weekend and they’re even more dry than us as all the grass in the medians, etc. is just completely brown.

@1mdp…I picked my wife up at the airport yesterday and it poured in s. Atlanta…not a thing up here in Marietta…hate to see my water bill next month… 🙂

  13. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack Frankly  I think UGA got one for AJ a day or two back.  We’re always in it with this staff and the way they recruit.

  14. 1mandawgpack

Bansai buckeroo  I’ve been getting out and doing a single project every day from about 9am to about noon.  After that, it’s too hot and I’m too worn out to do anything else.  Yard is starting to look good, though.  It wasn’t quite as hot this morning, but we had a 15 minute pop-up t-storm in Buckhead last night that made the humidity even more unbearable than it already was.

  15. 1mandawgpack

I recently read where the Hawks made yet another move that won’t improve the team.  Have agreed to a huge, long-term contract with an unproductive, over-the-hill Dwight howard and let Al Horford go to make room.  Coach Bud is a great coach but doesn’t seem to really know how to manage player personnel in that role.

  16. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Frankly Gibbs could play WR. That idea has been thrown around a lot. He’ll still be a battle with TN. Jamyest grew up an Athens kid, but I know he likes Clemson a lot too. AJ is a battle still and some believe UGA is in 2nd or 3rd for him.

  17. Bansai buckeroo

It’s too hot to cut the grass for those of you who might be as stupid as me……

  18. JaxDawg

We better get two or all three of the above haha, hope this commit doesn’t change anything

  19. 1mandawgpack

Frankly  I know many of you don’t like to read the AJC (I shared your sentiments for a long time, but actually think they’ve gotten much better recently) and an article posted this morning actually addresses this very topic.  They seem to think that if Stevens commits, he and RL would be our safties.  We would then have 2 corners committed (Pool and the most recent commit), and they seem to think that UGA would take 2 of the 3 you mention above for a total of 6 DBs.  That makes a lot of sense to me given attrition, the small class we signed last year, etc.  Also, I swear that I’ve read that Gibbs could be recruited as an ATH rather than strictly as a DB as he’s equally capable to line up and play WR.

  20. Frankly

They definitely have the experience and the only proven QB in the East but I think their overall talent is somewhat mediocre.
They should be favored but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this year is a huge letdown.

  21. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers DawgLink But auburn getting WR doesn’t make sense at all

  22. Lucas Rogers

1mandawgpack Lucas Rogers DawgLink Cause they run mainly a spread. WR will get more attention have less blocking to do

  23. 1mandawgpack

Lucas Rogers 1mandawgpack DawgLink  OK – I didn’t see a bunch of 5* WR commit to the good guys when Eason committed.  For some reason, those 2 schools (plus – I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit – the Vols) are able to attract really solid WR and I just don’t understand it.

  24. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers kinda like cleveland and lebron, yet they welcomed him with open arms when he came back lol
