Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

Because he was replaced with another phenomenal RB, I don’t think we appreciate how good this guy was.  When I first saw his HS tape I thought how in the world is this kid not a 5-star?  That still baffles me.

The offensive lineman from Florida’s IMG Academy picked UGA over Notre Dame and Florida after not being able to enroll at Ohio State due to an academic issue.

biggityben DawgByte  But in a typical 3 – 4 scheme, you have a huge NG, and 2 DTs.  The OLBs are usually a bit bigger so that they can support the run but can also cover on pass plays.

DawgByte I’m a little confused as to our alignments.  I’m assuming Kirby’s based defense is a 3-4, correct?  My understanding of that alignment is there is a NT, a DT on either side of NT, and OLB outside of them.  Where does a DE fit in?  Is the different between a DT and DE alignment only?  Such that, you can have two DT and a DE (instead of a NT?)

Yes RobG, you remember correct and I know I for one was commenting bak then bout how low down Corch was for pushing this guy out. Maybe he does have fragile knees. Hope he can apply his skill set to the game in other ways now

godawgs678I hate it for the young man. Didn’t Ohio State release him due to medical issues/reasons? Their Dr’s all saw something they didn’t like

Greg Poole Heck Yeah, spend that money, I’ll bet that keeps Fish Fry from being bought out for even longer now

DawgByte It was nice to see Chubb running in there, too. I hope he comes back strong this year.
