DJ Lagway (QB #2) – The Gators’ quarterback was a Heisman candidate at the beginning of the season, but his nine touchdowns to nine interceptions ratio has held his offense back from their full potential. With Billy Napier being fired last week, Lagway and the offense will have to adapt to a new system on the fly against a Georgia defense that is looking to bounce back after a poor showing against Ole Miss.

Jadan Baugh (RB #13) – The sophomore has been the workhorse of the Gator offense, rushing for over 600 yards and four touchdowns this season. He will have his work cut out for him against a Georgia defense that is allowing less than 100 yards per game on the ground. Look for Baugh to try and get the ground game going while Lagway settles into the game through the air.

Vernell Brown III (WR #8) – This Gainesville native is playing in his first Georgia-Florida game for the Gators. Brown III leads the team in yards with 451 yards, but has not found the endzone this year. He will have to find holes in the Georgia secondary for Lagway to make plays down the field if the Gators want any chance in this game.

Dallas Wilson (WR #6) – Wilson has 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns, averaging over 15 yards per catch. In the Gators win against Texas, the freshman scored two touchdowns and had over 100 receiving yards. Look for Wilson to be a difference maker for the Gators with his deep threat against the Bulldogs’ secondary.

‌Myles Graham (LB #5) – Graham has been solid during his sophomore year with 40 tackles, which leads the Gators’ defense. His consistent play has helped the Gators stay close when their offense went through rough patches with Napier at the helm. Though he has only seen the Bulldogs once in his career, he has the chance to slow down Stockton and the Bulldogs to play spoiler in the College Football Playoff race.

Jordan Castell (DB #14) – Castell has led the way in the turnover battle for the Gator defense with two interceptions, along with 22 tackles. While Georgia’s offense has been efficient about not turning the ball over, this game always sees strange moments, so keep an eye on Castell as he tries to make Stockton give the ball away.

Kamran James (DE #24) – The junior has 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the year, with his best game this season coming in their win against Mississippi State, where he tallied six tackles and 1.5 sacks. The Florida native has been one of the state’s most impactful players and can disrupt the Georgia offense, keeping them from lighting up the scoreboard.

Florida boasts three legendary Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks: Steve Spurrier in 1966, Danny Wuerffel (coached by Spurrier) in 1996 and Tim Tebow in 2007.

One of the greatest Southeastern Conference defenders of all time, Florida great Wilbur Marshall was a starting linebacker and teammate of Kevin Butler on the 1985 Chicago Bears.

The Gators have turned out many great baseball players through the years, and that includes All-Star first baseman Pete Alonso of the New York Mets, who hit 38 homers this year.
